heart-broken

Yoann Gourcuff got the first red card of his entire career.

This has got to be the worst World Cup experience for any futbol player in the history of futbol. He had so much potential to shine but circumstances kept standing in his way.
  • Match 1: Got benched halfway through because his teammates refused to play with him by not passing the pass to him or acknowledging his passes.
  • Match 2: They pressured the coach to pull him off the start-up so he was benched during the whole second match.
  • Match 3: Unfairly red-carded when he was just getting into the rhythm of things.
Basically to sum up the worst experience anyone can go through during their WC career:

From http://midnitesunlite.tumblr.com/ (If you love Gourcuff and other sexy players, you have to check out her blog) :
"This World Cup has been absolute hell for the poor guy. He was blamed for the NT’s poor performance, ostracized because of it, benched because of it, bullied by the likes of Ribery… and then this happened. Which is just PERFECT. The guy just couldn’t catch a break."

Doing what he does best - playing futbol and looking extra sexy while doing it.

Then this happened:

Uhm, this at worst is a yellow card. The referee pulled out the fastest red card ever seen at a World Cup game. Stupid diving South African player! At least two records were broken today - Gourcuff's first red card and SA being the first host country to NOT make it pass Round 32. Suckers...

Poor guy was so concerned about the diver and then so baffled to why he got the card. It was so unjust.

Doesn't he resemble Zidane to a capitall T? This, especially, reminds me of World Cup 2006 when Zidane walked off the field after he was red-carded (it was well-deserved but it hurts my heart all the same). I don't know why I keep pledging my loyalty to France year after year, because they never fail to break my heart.

I hate this. I hate FIFA referees. How can the two nicest guys ever get red-carded? They're so diplomatic on the field - playing the game as it's meant to played, helping their opponents up when the fall and Gourcuff even flashed one of the referees a half smile when he was fouled. Both brilliant players, both were unfairly red-carded by cheating, crybaby opponents.

I officially hate you WORLD CUP 2010!!
